1. You messaged or called a business that uses Pixl
Businesses such as clinics use Pixl Agents to answer messages and calls. Your conversation with them belongs to that business, which decides what is kept, so:
- Ask the business to delete your data. They can erase your contact record together with your conversations, messages and call recordings. A record that you opted out is kept, so that you aren’t contacted again.
- To stop WhatsApp messages from that business, reply STOP. Messages stop straight away.
- Or write to us at [[OWNER: a privacy address that someone reads (for example privacy@ on the chosen domain); none exists yet]] with the business’s name and the phone number or account you used. We will pass your request to the business and help it act on it.
2. You connected Pixl with Facebook or Instagram
If you messaged a business on Instagram or Messenger, or connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Pixl, you can have the data linked to that account deleted:
- In Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites). On Instagram, open Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
- Find Pixl Agents [[OWNER: the names of both Meta apps exactly as people see them in Facebook and Instagram settings: the messaging app, and the Ads app (intended name “Pixl Agents Ads”); see owner kit step O2]] and choose Remove. Confirm that you want your data deleted.
- Meta sends us your deletion request. You get a confirmation code and a link to check on it.
What we delete
- Contact records that match your Instagram, Messenger or Facebook account, in every business’s workspace on Pixl;
- those contacts’ conversations and messages;
- calls with those contacts, including recordings and transcripts;
- any access to your Meta ad accounts that you gave Pixl.
We start straight away and finish within 30 days. A business may keep records the law requires it to keep.
If you run a business on Pixl, you can also disconnect your ad account or channels inside Pixl at any time. That deletes the access we hold; removing the app in your Meta settings also withdraws the permission on Meta’s side.
3. You have a Pixl account
- Delete your account: in Pixl, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Danger zone and choose Delete my account. We sign you out everywhere and deactivate the account straight away. About 30 days later we permanently delete it, with the workspaces that only you own, including your colleagues’ work in them. Until then you can change your mind on the same page. Invoices and other records the law requires us to keep stay, linked to an anonymous record instead of your account.
- Delete a workspace: the workspace owner can delete it in Settings → Workspace. That removes everything in it, including conversations, contacts and recordings.
- Get a copy first: Danger zone also has Download export.

4. Checking on a request
If Meta gave you a confirmation code, the status link it came with shows your request. You can also write to [[OWNER: a privacy address that someone reads (for example privacy@ on the chosen domain); none exists yet]] with the code, and we will reply with where it stands.
